Beverages and Eat-Stop-Eat

Postby cookieismyname on Thu May 15, 2008 5:32 pm

I am thinking of starting the Eat-Stop-Eat program on Monday as a way to break through a weight-loss plateau. However, I'm wondering about other beverages not discussed in the book, such as real fruit juices (from a juicer), protein shakes, and coffee with skim milk. Are any of these considered acceptable? Please advise, and thank you.

Hi there & wecome. It is my understanding that the whole pupose of fasting is no calories at all. Brad did mention in the book that a piece of gum wouldn't harm much, but that is usually less than 5 calories. For drinks he recommends water, black coffee, or diet soda's. I hope this helps.
