I think the Push Press involves basically a mini-squat or half-squat while the D.B. Squat Press is a full squat into a press.

Sometimes exercise names vary depending on who is writing the program. I'm sure John will clarify.

Hi Kiwi,

Mixxster has got it right...a push press involves just a little bend at the knee (maybe even less than a quarter squat...almost more like a little body heave or hop)

A dumbbell squat and press is a full squat and then as you come up out of your squat you do a dumbbell press all in one motion.

the movement of the push press is quick and you sorta 'pop' it fast.

the dumbbell squat and press is a longer and somewhat slower movement.

Makes sense?

Mixxster is there any other way to explain this?

John

I think you explained it as well as possible, John.

I don't know why we were trying to describe them when we can just direct her to some links.

John,

Do you have a preference as far as hand position? The second video shows palms facing in.
