Question Re: 6 Minute Circuits

Postby imoutrunning on Wed Aug 08, 2007 8:32 pm

I couldn't get the email form to work (everytime I hit "submit" it said "error on page" on the bottom window bar), so sorry for asking these questions here. :)

Hi - I'm thinking of ordering The 6 Minute Circuits - but I need to know a couple of things first.

How many pages is it?
Can you give me an idea what the chapter titles are?
Are some of the pages a repeat of pictures of exercises from previous chapters? (Alwyn Cosgrove's Afterburn does this and it is soooo annoying, lol)

Thanks. :)

Hi Glynis,

Its 103 pages...

Chapters are as follows

1. "6 Minute Circuits Workout - the most innovative whole body fat loss and conditioning program ever developed!"
2. 'Its a lifestyle' - (gives insight and tips and guidance about a healthy lifestyle and how to make it all work)
3. "Will we ever know what to eat?" - a rather controversial look at why nutrition and food is such a problem for many people.
4. "The 6 minute circuits programs"
5. "The 6 minute circuits workouts"
6. "Exercise descriptions"

Those are the exact chapters.

There's some pic's throughout the text for a nice look to the book...not sure if thats what you mean...and all the exercise descriptions are at the end of the book.

If you email me at john@grrlathlete.com I can email you a sample of the 6 minute circuits program so you can give it a try first if you like! (this sample will give you a good idea of what the book looks like)

That's not what she meant. She'll probably be happy that all the descriptions are at the end. In Alwyn Cosgrove's Afterburn he lists the exercises in each workout and then has photos and descriptions. What Glynis dislikes is that he illustrates every exercise each time he uses it in a workout, even if he's already shown it 5 times before. I just assumed he did it so people would have the illustrations right there rather than having to flip back and forth in the book.

I am loving 6 minute circuits

Postby jhardy on Sat Aug 11, 2007 3:23 am

Hello! I have been doing 6 minute circuits this week and I am loving the workouts. I love that it gives me a total body workout while elevating my heart rate. I was able to do the beginner workout in about 35 minutes because I took shorter rest periods. While I have been exercising for a while, I appreciated the soreness that the workout created (I could feel it, but I was still able to walk!). I am going to try this for a while and hopefully will lose some of this stubborn weight from baby #3 (about 15 pounds). I am going to alternate it with a couple of days of week of HITT training on the treadmill.
Thanks for such a great program!
